Weirside aka Toc H Langdale is situated in the Langdale Valley village of Chapel Stile. It is a 20 bedded 'bunk barn' in two dormitories each sleeping 8 and 2 'leaders' rooms each sleeping two. There is a well equipped kitchen, a drying room, a community room for eating in, playing table tennis/ games and the new upstairs landing provides an area that is more relaxing. There are showers etc associated with each of the sleeping areas.
Outside is the river and the property... is set in a stretch of the river bank which has a brick built barbecue.
Toc H's purpose in owning and refurbishing the building is so that groups may be able to enjoy this wonderful area either undertaking outdoor activities, or just using it for peace and community. For city based people this place gives an opportunity to see stars, or even true darkness, to breath fresh air, to be stunned by views. etc.
